In just the first year of having a Cross Country program at °Ä²Ê¿ª½±Íø, the Women’s team earned 71 points and placed second at the 2023 NJCAA Division III Cross Country Championship in Huntsville, Alabama.
Team members who participated in the race were Sadie Brandt, Reagan Edwards, Lauren Hartman, Sophia Miller, Lucero Orozco, Hanna Spoon, and Kenzie Fulliam.
The Vikings saw three student-athletes earn All-America honors.
1-5 Finishers = First Team, 6-10 = Second Team, 11-15 = Honorable Mention
9th: Reagan Edwards, Second Team
10th: Lauren Hartman, Second Team
14th: Sadie Brandt, Honorable Mention
The College’s two male participants also had a strong performance at the championship race where Dylan Glasletter placed 20th and Nick Vollmer placed 47th.
Congratulations to Chris Sandefur, Head Cross Country Coach, and Aimie Marshall, First Assistant Women’s Coach, for playing a key role in the team’s success this season.
