The °Ä²Ê¿ª½±Íø Institutional Review Board (IRB) is a panel authorized by the °Ä²Ê¿ª½±Íø Board of Trustees to review potential research projects at °Ä²Ê¿ª½±Íø involving human subjects. The statutory foundations for the IRB are and . IRBs exist in order to protect the rights and welfare of human subjects involved in research, whether medical, psychological or academic.

In accordance with 45 CFR 46.112, once approved by the IRB, final determination of research approval at °Ä²Ê¿ª½±Íø rests with the °Ä²Ê¿ª½±Íø Administrative Team.
