Our Program

°Ä²Ê¿ª½±Íø Law Enforcement Academy [a C.A.L.E.A. Accredited Training Facility] offers two options for students seeking a MO Department of Public Safety POST Class A License. The Academy goal  is to train and prepare individuals to become competent, ethical, and effective law enforcement officers.  The °Ä²Ê¿ª½±Íø Law Enforcement Academy provides comprehensive instruction in various aspects of law enforcement, including but not limited to: legal principles, tactical skills, communication and interpersonal skills, ethics and professionalism, cultural competence and diversity training and Physical fitness and wellness.

Missouri P.O.S.T. requires current licensed peace officers to obtain a minimum of 24 hours of continuing law enforcement education a year to maintain their license.  The °Ä²Ê¿ª½±Íø Law Enforcement Academy offers an extensive list of training opportunities for Continuing Law Enforcement Education.  [See separate page "CLEE Offerings"]


JCLEA - DAY Class

The JCLEA DAY class includes required P.O.S.T. curriculum.  Included are specialized certifications in Firearms [Handgun, Shotgun and Patrol Rifle], Defensive Tactics, OC Pepper Spray, Expandable Baton, Taser, CPR & First Responder, Defensive Driver Training, Datamaster Breath Alcohol Analyzer Type III Operator, Standard Field Sobriety Testing and RADAR/LIDAR operations. The JCLEA DAY class is two college semesters.

Classes meet Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Upon successful completion of the program, recruits earn 41 college credits, 915 POST training hours and the opportunity to test for a Class "A" POST License.


JCLEA - NIGHT Class

Classes meet Monday through Thursday, 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Saturdays, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Upon successful completion of the program, recruits earn 41 college credits, 915 POST training hours and the opportunity to test for a Class "A" POST License.
